Al-Azhar Academy of Canada Hifz Program

Memorizing the Quran holds a special place in Islam as it is considered a noble act of devotion and worship. In Islamic tradition, the Quran is revered as the literal word of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad, and memorizing it is a way to internalize its teachings and guidance. By committing the Quran to memory, Muslims are able to carry its wisdom and guidance with them at all times, allowing for contemplation, reflection, and application in daily life. 

Al-Azhar Academy Full-Time Hifz Program is run under the guidance of qualified and experienced teachers according to the creeds of Tajweed and Tarteel. It is also specialized to allow students to not only complete the memorization of the holy Quran and understand the meaning, but to also build the confidence to lead prayer. 

We need guidance in every aspect of our life and the best guidance we can find is in the Quran. It is a manual for our everyday life. 

Students who register for full-time Hifz miss out on their academic education, in order to stay at grade level, they will recieve one class of English everyday.

Students who register for full-time Hifz miss out on their academic education, in order to stay at grade level, they will recieve one class of Math everyday.

• Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Friday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

• Please fill a registration form at the main office or online
• All fees are paid by cash/debt/cheque monthly

Hifz program students must wear a school uniform (please refer to our uniform page)

• Boys: Navy blue pants and white shirt 
• Girls: Navy blue abaya, white hejab
